ChatGPT is Not Your Legal Advisor

Date:

With the rise of artificial intelligence, employers are increasingly turning to AI services such as ChatGPT to create business-related documents, such as contracts, policies, and other agreements. This burgeoning reliance on ChatGPT illustrates the prevailing belief that AI is smarter than us, and may eventually disrupt — or even overtake — most industries.

Just recently, a client of mine contacted me to conduct a routine evaluation of an employment contract. Surprisingly, he jokingly suggested that the contract had likely been created by ChatGPT. As it turns out, he was completely correct about ChatGPT’s involvement in generating this contract.

ChatGPT is a software developed by an American AI company that provides automated templates of all kinds of documents, such as contracts, policies, terms and conditions, and other legal documents. Businesses use this AI-based software to quickly generate legal documents without investing time and resources into creating them themselves. This allows businesses to enjoy cost-savings, while still having access to legal documents that are of the same high-quality that they would otherwise have had.

ChatGPT also relies on its natural language processing (NLP) and natural language understanding (NLU) technologies to support businesses in finding answers to their frequently asked questions with minimal manual input. This allows business owners to ask questions to ChatGPT and receive answers as effectively as possible.

At CHAUDHRI, we help people who are in need of legal advice and documents. Our task is to mediate between human approach and AI one so that the best qualities of both worlds can be utilized to build the most accurate legal documents. We have a team of experts that are well-versed in legal matters who will be more than happy to assist you in every step of the way. Our mission is to make sure that every client receives the best legal services they need when the need arises.
