In a miraculous story of the power of Artificial Intelligence, a Twitter user claimed that the AI chatbot ChatGPT has saved his dog’s life by accurately diagnosing a blood condition that veterinarians could not identify. Cooper, a user on Twitter with the handle @peakcooper, shared his experience about his dog named Sassy recently.
Sassy was diagnosed with a tick-borne disease, but her condition worsened despite the prescribed treatment. He noticed that her gums were very pale, leading them to take her to the vet again, where they found out that she had anemia that was even worse than before. The veterinarian ran additional tests, but his attempts to identify the problem remained unsuccessful. Fearing the worst, Cooper looked to AI chatbot ChatGPT for help.
He described the situation in detail with the blood test results and ChatGPT suggested that the canine may have Immune-mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). Cooper immediately took this suggestion to the vet, who confirmed and commenced an appropriate treatment for Sassy. She is now well and her recovery has been nothing short of amazing.
The chatbot in question, ChatGPT, is an AI-enabled platform from OpenAI, a company committed to creating human-like AI technologies that can be used in a variety of fields. OpenAI recently won a bid to develop a custom-made chatbot for the US Navy, which signifies the potential of their product.
Cooper, who is based out of California, is extremely thankful to ChatGPT and its creators for helping diagnose his dog’s condition. He gave credit to the AI chatbot for helping his pet recover and urged people to consider an AI-assisted solution if they’re unable to find an answer. He also added that we shouldn’t be afraid to bring up technology and AI if it can help a situation.
