ChatGPT has been a game-changer in the world of automated chatbot technology. Created by OpenAI, ChatGPT is a free AI-powered chatbot that allows users to simulate conversations with real people. Recently, more and more features have been added to the service, with Google Bard also introducing some great features of its own. But there are some features that ChatGPT lacks, and could really benefit from. To that end, here are four new features that ChatGPT desperately needs.
First, a drafts option – similar to Google Bard, but with the option to see variations on the response. This sort of feature certainly exists within text-to-image services, and would be great to see in ChatGPT someday. Another useful feature would be the ability to continue conversations despite the limit imposed- rather than having conversations broken down into separate conversations, the context would be carried over to the new chat. Additionally, ChatGPT could benefit from modes and styles, allowing users to narrow down the scope of their prompt, or provide different lengths of response. Finally, voice prompts would be great to see in ChatGPT – with the current hardware capabilities, this feature could make the chatbot feel more like a real person.
Google Bard is the main competitor for ChatGPT, and is a somewhat more comprehensive AI-chatbot. Like ChatGPT, it’s free to use, but does offer supplementary ChatGPT Plus features for those who prefer more choice and customization. However, this also may drive users away from using the free service, so making sure the features available in the free version of ChatGPT are up to par is essential.
At the end of the day, ChatGPT still remains the best free AI chatbot out there. These four new features would go a long way towards making it more versatile, reliable, and user-friendly. Hopefully, OpenAI can take the feedback and will continue to add more features in the future.
