Cent, a company that helps creators sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has acquired Tacit, a small company that specializes in rewards platforms. Cent focuses on The Collect Button, which allows consumers to collect NFTs from websites and creators and build a loyal fan base. The button facilitates value exchange between creators and fans, where fans can acquire a collectible in exchange for giving their email address or performing other actions. The acquisition is part of Cent’s continued expansion in Web3, and it will accelerate the growth of the platform via The Collect Button. The purchase price has not been disclosed.Â
Cent is a platform that enables creators, brands, and businesses to instantly turn anything into digital goods that can be gifted or sold to anyone, anywhere. The technology allows for the tokenization, custody, transfer of assets, and unlocking of exclusive content. The company aims to make the process of buying into Web3 seamless for users.
Bijan Farsijani, one of Tacit’s founders, has experience in Web2 and Web3 product and business development. He hopes to help round up European brands to get them on board with creators and The Collect Button. Holger Nießner, the other founder, is a Web3 developer with experience in WebDev, DevOps, and AI companies. He will serve as head of engineering.
