CBSE Offering Skill Subjects In Artificial Intelligence, Data Science
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is taking a progressive step by introducing skill subjects in the school curriculum to equip students with essential 21st-century skills. As part of this initiative, students in Class 11 now have the opportunity to choose from a range of around 43 electives alongside their main subjects.
The introduction of these skill subjects aims to enhance students’ employability and entrepreneurship skills. Some of the newly added electives include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Physical Activity Trainer, Land Transportation Associate, Electronics & Hardware, and Design Thinking & Innovation.
To provide easy access to the curriculum and study materials for these skill electives, CBSE has made them available on the academic website under the dedicated tab ‘Skill Education.’ Students can visit the official CBSE website to explore the list of electives offered by the board for the Senior Secondary School Curriculum 2024-25.
