Candidate Cheats Using ChatGPT in State Civil Services Exam

A case has recently been reported in India where a candidate cheated in a state civil services exam with the help of ChatGPT. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has found that the suspect, Poola Ramesh, used ChatGPT to access the exam question paper and obtain answer keys. Ramesh provided the solutions to seven candidates using Bluetooth headphones during the exam, after getting pictures of the question sheets from a principal at the testing location. The exam was conducted to hire assistant executive engineers (AEE) and divisional accounts officers (DAO) for Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPC). The SIT is investigating the matter further.

Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited in Peddapalli is the company involved in the case.

Poola Ramesh, a divisional engineer, is the person who is accused of cheating in the civil services exam using ChatGPT.
