Business Executives Believe AI Will Outperform Humans

Date:

Recent findings revealed in a YouGov study of over 1,000 decision makers in the C-suite show that 44% of business bosses believe artificial intelligence (AI) could replace human jobs. The report also mentions that a majority of 92% think the abundance of data is making decision making more complicated. Such trends have ignited global concerns over AI’s potentially detrimental impact on jobs, but experts seem to have a different perception – that your tasks, rather than being cut, will evolve due to the leverage of tools provided by AI.

In fact, not long ago a coalition of tech moguls among them Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak requested a six-month-long retirement of developing and deploying AI systems. The main fear behind this is that its creators can no longer predict or control where AI could lead us – a risk many tech leaders are not ready to take.

But when it comes to dealing with data, there is no better partner than AI. ChatGPT, an AI writer, is an example of how artificial intelligence can automate and process large amounts of data – roles that would otherwise take a significant amount of time for humans to execute.

It is clear that with tools such as AI, many jobs will undergo a shift in terms of what they entail, but this will only open up the possibility of further enhancement of skills that only human workers can provide. As a result, the risk AI poses on our jobs is far less drastic than initially thought, allowing us to make the most out of the tools that become available to us.
