Bentley Systems, a leading infrastructure engineering software company, has announced the winners of the 2023 Going Digital Awards for Infrastructure Innovations. During the prestigious event, 15 projects were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the infrastructure industry.
The winners were selected by Greg Bentley and Keith Bentley, senior executives of Bentley Systems, who evaluated more than 300 nominations for the awards program. The projects chosen for the Founders’ Honors category demonstrated outstanding innovation and excellence in digital engineering and construction.
Among the winners was Collins Engineers, Inc., for their project on Digital Twins and Artificial Intelligence for the Rehabilitation of the Historic Robert Street Bridge in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. The use of advanced technologies in this project showcased the potential of digital twins and artificial intelligence in optimizing infrastructure rehabilitation efforts.
Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) was also recognized for their Construction of 2 Nos of 225KV Transmission Lines & 2 Nos of Substations in Cameroon. This project highlighted the importance of efficient transmission lines and substations in delivering reliable electricity supply to communities.
The Port Authority of New South Wales received an award for their Port Authority of New South Wales Digital Transformation Case Study. This project exemplified how digital transformation can enhance operational efficiency and customer service in the port industry.
PT Hutama Karya (Persero) and PT. Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk were honored for their geotechnical engineering and digital ecosystem projects in Indonesia’s new capital city, showcasing the role of digital technologies in sustainable urban development.
Other winners include Shanghai Investigation, Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited, WSP Australia, and Yuba Water Agency, who presented innovative projects that incorporated digital workflows, model-based design, and infrastructure upgrades.
In addition to the Founders’ Honors, Bentley Systems will publish detailed descriptions of all nominated projects in its 2023 Infrastructure Yearbook. The company’s software solutions, powered by the iTwin Platform for infrastructure digital twins, are used by professionals and organizations worldwide for the design, construction, and operation of various infrastructure projects.
