Bengaluru CEO Arrested After Taxi Driver Discovers Body in ‘Heavy’ Bag During 10-Hour Journey
The arrest of Suchana Seth, a Bengaluru CEO, has sent shockwaves throughout the nation. The taxi driver who drove her from Goa to Karnataka made a chilling discovery during the 10-hour journey – a body concealed in a ‘heavy’ bag. The horrifying incident unfolded as Seth remained eerily silent throughout the trip, leaving the driver unsettled.
According to Ray John, the driver who assisted the Goa police in her arrest, Seth remained calm and composed the entire time. She requested him to transport her ‘heavy’ bag from her Goa apartment to the cab, but refused to lighten its load by removing any items.
John tried to convince her to make the bag lighter, but she persisted in keeping it intact. He was forced to drag the bag to the car’s trunk. Their interaction was minimal, with Seth only speaking up once to ask for water when they reached Bicholim in North Goa.
The journey took a disturbing turn when they encountered a massive traffic jam at the Chorla ghat section on the Karnataka-Goa border. John proposed going to the airport, estimating a six-hour wait to clear the road. However, Seth insisted on continuing by road, a decision that heightened the driver’s suspicions.
As he received a call from the Goa police, John discreetly searched for the nearest police station. Desperate to buy more time, he stopped at a roadside restaurant and discovered a police station just 500 meters away.
They were only a short distance away from Bengaluru when John drove Seth to the Aiyamangala police station in Chitradurga district, Karnataka. A Calangute police official remained on the phone with him throughout the operation. Interestingly, Seth remained calm and composed in the car while the police inspector conducted a search.
To the police’s horror, the search revealed the lifeless body of Seth’s son inside the bag. When asked if it was her child, she astonishingly replied, Yes, in a composed manner. The Goa police immediately arrested her and took her into custody.
This shocking incident began when Suchana Seth, the CEO of startup Mindful AI Lab, arrived at a service apartment in Goa on January 6 with her son. Two days later, she claimed her son was staying with a relative and requested a cab to Bengaluru from Goa. The staff at the service apartment raised the alarm after discovering blood stains in the unit.
The postmortem examination revealed that the boy had been suffocated with either a pillow or cloth. Additionally, two bottles of cough syrup, potentially used to render the victim unconscious, were found by the police.
This tragic case has left the nation reeling with grief and disbelief. The motive behind this horrifying act remains unclear, raising many questions and leaving the public seeking answers in this heart-wrenching saga.
