Baidu Cloud has introduced Comate, a coding assistance tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The program is based on the company’s AI model, ERNIE, and has the ability to generate code predictions based on previous code inputs, which may be in single or multi-line format. In addition, Comate can translate natural language into programming languages. During trials, developers were able to successfully implement between 30% to 50% of the code generated by this tool. Comate is compatible with various Integrated Development Environment frameworks and supports more than 30 programming languages. The tool’s primary focus is on C/C++, Python and Java. The beta-testing phase has been opened to users worldwide.
