AWS, the cloud computing arm of Amazon, has committed to investing $100m in a new programme aimed at connecting enterprise customers and partners with experts in machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) worldwide. The aim is to provide support in the deployment and success of generative AI. The AWS Generative AI Innovation Center includes a team of strategists, engineers, data scientists, and solutions architects. The team will work with customers to develop bespoke solutions that employ AWS generative AI services as part of a free workshop, designed to deliver best practices and industry expertise. AWS generative AI services include the Amazon CodeWhisperer and AmazonBedrock cloud service. The service enables development and scaling of generative AI chatbots and other applications in the cloud with internal organisational data, utilising the expertise of large language models (LLMs) from Anthropic, AI21 and Stability AI, as well as two new LLMs in Amazon’s Titan model family. At present more than 100,000 customers are using AWS for AI and machine learning.
