Over 5500 Athletes Compete in Coal India Marathon – Latest Updates
The Coal India Marathon was the first officially registered marathon of Jharkhand, with 5500+ athletes taking part in various 4 categories. Morabadi's Birsa Munda Stadium was their start and end point, with Central Coalfields Ltd arranging it and rewards of Rs.29.7 lakhs were given to the winners. The entire event was coordinated by Abhay Kumar, a Ranchi Sub Divisional Magistrate. He encouraged and promoted sports in the local area, making this marathon possible.
