Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, has announced an extended partnership with Microsoft to accelerate business transformation through advanced AI solutions. The collaboration will focus on harnessing the power of data and AI in a secure, efficient, and ethical way.
Under the partnership, Atos’ Tech Foundations business line and Microsoft will invest over a three-year period to build a strategic portfolio that leverages the capabilities of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure OpenAI service. The collaboration is structured around three core pillars: solutions, co-creation, and competencies.
In terms of solutions, Atos will embed Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure OpenAI Service in its current portfolio of digital workplace offerings. This will enable customers to leverage proprietary data securely and enhance employee user experience, productivity, and creativity through the application of AI.
Atos is already using these AI solutions in its own business operations, resulting in a significant reduction in costs. For example, the Digital Workplace business line has generated automated responses to RFIs/RFPs, saving up to 50% of costs.
In the co-creation pillar, Atos and Microsoft will provide advisory services, solution accelerators, and pilot funding to guide clients in adopting and scaling generative AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot in their production environments. Several projects are already underway, with a focus on exploratory and experimental phases.
To ensure competencies in AI, Atos is committed to training 15,000 employees by the end of 2024. The training will cover various areas including Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption and extensions, Azure OpenAI Service, prompt engineering, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Graph. By building these competencies, Atos aims to meet the demands of its customers and facilitate the transition from pilot programs to full-scale AI implementation.
The collaboration between Atos and Microsoft has been widely welcomed by industry experts. Alexa Van Den Bempt, Senior Vice President of Digital Business Platforms at Atos, emphasized the importance of deploying AI solutions in-house first to gain experience and legitimacy. Kelly Rogan, Corporate Vice President of Global System Integrators and Advisory Partners at Microsoft, expressed excitement about the opportunities that the collaboration will bring in terms of enabling business transformation for customers.
One of the early adopters of Microsoft 365 Copilot is Scottish Water, which has been working with AI for years. By embracing generative AI and participating in the Early Adopters Program for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Scottish Water is committed to innovation and value creation through emerging technologies.
Atos has been recognized as a Leader by Gartner in the 2023 Magic Quadrant for Outsourced Digital Workplace Services for the seventh consecutive year, further establishing its expertise and position in digital transformation.
The collaboration between Atos and Microsoft represents a significant step towards accelerating business transformation through advanced AI solutions. By harnessing the power of data and AI in a secure, efficient, and ethical way, the partnership will enable organizations to unlock new opportunities, enhance productivity, and drive value creation.
