Australian software company Atlassian has unveiled a new feature for its Jira development issue-tracking software that puts popular security tools at the heart of project development. By adding the Security in Jira feature, the firm hopes to grant teams greater visibility into potential security issues and allow them to tackle vulnerabilities more efficiently and earlier in the software development lifecycle. Atlassian has partnered with other developer security companies, including Lacework, Stackhawk, Mend, Snyk and JFrog, to enable this new feature. The new capabilities will be accessible to all Jira Software Cloud users.
