The Indian Army will be hosting its first Army Commanders’ Conference (ACC) of the year 2023 from April 17 to 21 in a hybrid format. This is the first time that the ACC will be conducted using technology for secure communication, with Army Commanders and other senior officers meeting virtually on the first day before traveling to Delhi for physical meetings on matters requiring detailed deliberation. The top agenda points to be discussed on the first day are sponsored by various Command Headquarters, with C-in-C Andaman and Nicobar Command giving updates and Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters giving talks.
The forum will review numerous activities, such as the ‘Year of Transformation-2023’, Agnipath Scheme, digitization and automation initiatives, Combat Engineers tasks, and budget management. The senior officers will also get an address from the Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Chief of the Air Staff. A separate talk about the future contours of Indo-China relations by former Ambassador to China, Vijay Gokhale is also planned for the conference. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to hold an address on the 19th of April, 2023 and also review an equipment display that focuses on niche technology, Artificial Intelligence, Training, Robotics, Virtual Reality, Operational Logistics and more.
