Apple’s iPhone 16 & iPhone 16 Pro Specs Leak: Bigger Screens, Powerful Chips, & WiFi Upgrades
Alleged specifications for Apple’s next-generation iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are already surfacing, offering some insights into what these devices may offer. According to Jeff Pu from Haitong Intl Tech Research, who is an analyst, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a slight increase in screen size. It is presumed that the phone’s screen will go from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches and from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches for the regular and Pro models, respectively.
In terms of camera specifications, the iPhone 16 is rumored to come with a 48MP (1/1.5, 7P) primary lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens (5P). On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro could have a 48MP (1/1.3, 7P) primary lens, a new 48MP ultrawide lens (6P AF), and a 12MP telephoto lens (Periscope 1G3P).
The iPhone 16 is expected to be powered by a 3nm A17 chip, along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 5G modem. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro may come with a new A18 Pro 3nm chip based on TSMC’s N3E process, as well as a new Snapdragon X75 5G modem. The Snapdragon X75 is said to be the world’s first Modem-RF System with its own dedicated AI tensor accelerator, offering a 2.5X improvement in AI performance over the previous generation. Additionally, all iPhone 16 models are rumored to come with 8GB of LPD5 RAM.
One interesting highlight is the iPhone 16 Pro’s potential support for WiFi 7, featuring an integrated WiFi 7 + Bluetooth + Ultra-wideband solution. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 is expected to stick with support for WiFi 6e.
