Apple’s highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is set to take place from 10 to 14 June this year. The event will kick off with a Keynote address on the first day, which will be livestreamed on 11 June at 1 AM Malaysian time.
During the Keynote, Apple will unveil new features for its ecosystem, including updates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and WatchOS. According to reports, the tech giant will focus on integrating AI-related features into its software, following in the footsteps of Microsoft and Google.
Rumored to be named Project Greymatter, Apple is expected to introduce a set of AI tools into core apps like Safari, Photos, and Notes. Additionally, AI-generated notification summaries, a more conversational voice for Siri, and AI-generated emojis are also on the horizon.
Sources suggest that less-intensive tasks will be handled on-device, while more power-intensive AI features will be cloud-based. Furthermore, there are speculations about Apple implementing a chatbot into its ecosystem through a deal with OpenAI or Google’s Gemini.
The new features announced at the Keynote are anticipated to roll out in the fall, following Apple’s usual release schedule. Keep an eye out for exciting announcements and updates from Apple during this year’s WWDC.
