Apple is reportedly considering developing a health coaching service powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The planned service will read data collected from Apple Watch users, such as their sleep patterns, exercise routine, diet, and emotions, and make personalized recommendations for more healthy habits. Dubbed “Quartz”, the initiative is set to debut some time in 2021.
The newest Apple Watch models already come with a heart rate monitor, fertility tracker, temperature sensor, and an electrocardiogram app. They may also be able to detect falls and medical emergencies and automatically call help when needed.
The planned “emotion log” feature will ask users to rate their day and store their mood in the device. In addition, Apple is considering introducing ways to read users’ mood through their speech and typed words, as well as other device data. Apple is also considering introducing the ability to read blood pressure and glucose levels without the need for an external device.
