The 20th Games for Change Festival will be heading to New York City from July 18 to July 20. With virtual reality, AI, mental health, and curriculum design on the agenda, the Festival will be providing industry leaders and up-and-coming professionals in gaming and social impact a chance to come together.
Susanna Pollack, President of Games for Change, has been vocal about her support for the yearly event, remarking that it is “more important than ever” for the gaming industry to engage in conversations around timely topics. An expansive lineup of speakers is set to be part of the Festival including industry leaders engaged in shaping the future of games and immersive media.
The Festival also promises several networking opportunities, showcasing the impact of games and XR technology (extended reality, or virtual and augmented reality) through the XR for Change Summit, as well as the chance for youth between the ages of 13-18 to learn and create through the G4C Next Gen Fest. Furthermore, the G4C Games & SDG Summit allows invite- only leaders across several industries to come together and activate the games and XR sector to support key UN Sustainable Development Goals at the United Nations’ Headquarters.
Moreover, the G4C Festival awards celebrate the work of the gaming community and everyone is invited, enabling them to gain access to the one-of-a-kind immersive arcade and order tickets for the event.
