Amitabh Bachchan’s Views on ChatGPT: Can It Remove the Need for Human Interaction?

Date:

Amitabh Bachchan has recently drawn attention with his blog about OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT. He has not caught the ChatGPT fever yet, but mentioned that he may soon give it a try. The legendary actor has expressed his worries about growing popularity of AI. He showed images created by fans using the AI.

The blog read: “AI .. commandeth the World and as does the ChatGPT app .. that, as we all know, is the instrument that shall eradicate the human soon enough .. I wanted ChatGPT to write my DAY for me … but that would be without heart and soul .. but some day I shall make an effort ..”

Besides worrying about increasing presence of AI, Bachchan has also been cutting back his appearances in public due to his health and apprehension. He has been declining most of the invitations to high-profile events.

OpenAI is an American artificial intelligence (AI) research company founded in 2015. It focuses on artificial general intelligence (AGI), a project that involves teaching machines to think in the same way a human being does. The company has implemented online services such as GPT-3, Language Model and Image Recognition with the aim of advancing digital intelligence for tasks that require common sense, language and visual understanding.

Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most prolific actors of Indian cinema, renowned for having played the lead in some of the greatest films of all time. Besides being an actor, Bachchan is also a popular TV show host, producer, and playback singer. He was most recently seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Uunchai’ and is currently working on ‘Project K’, a sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. He is also working on ‘Section 84’ by Ribhu Dasgupta. However, Bachchan was hurt while filming his upcoming movie, as an action sequence went wrong.
