In a recent poll conducted among 1,755 Americans from April 28 to 30, a staggering 68 percent of respondents expressed their belief that the United States is spiraling out of control under President Biden’s administration. This sentiment transcends partisan lines, with a significant 70 percent of Independents and nearly 90 percent of Republicans sharing this viewpoint.
The poll further revealed that 66 percent of Americans feel that the nation is headed in the wrong track, with prominent concerns about various issues such as anti-Gaza protests, high inflation rates, and the ongoing immigration crisis at the southern border. These issues have contributed to a prevailing sense of unease among the public.
As a result of these challenges, President Biden’s approval ratings have taken a hit. Recent surveys show that only 37 percent of respondents approve of his presidential performance, with a whopping 58 percent expressing widespread disapproval. Specifically concerning his handling of inflation, Biden garnered an abysmal approval rating of just 29 percent.
Furthermore, voters have identified inflation and prices as the most pressing issue, with 96 percent considering it important and 77 percent deeming it very important. These concerns have also been reflected in other polls, with Biden’s average job approval rating standing at a mere 38 percent.
Amid various domestic and international challenges, including the conflict between Israel and Hamas, illegal border crossings, and signs of increasing inflation, Biden’s ability to address these issues effectively has come under scrutiny. As his approval ratings continue to plummet, it remains to be seen how the administration will navigate these turbulent times.
