Amazon Web Services (AWS) Set to Launch AI Chatbot ‘Amazon Q’ for Customized Business Solutions

Date:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is set to introduce its generative AI chatbot, ‘Amazon Q,’ a language model similar to ChatGPT, according to a media report on Wednesday.

With this new development, AWS will be following in the footsteps of its competitors Microsoft and Google, the tech giants that are already using their own generative AI technology in their products. Recently, software services major Infosys was also in talks for its GenAI aims, according to reports.

Amazon stated that the new chatbot is designed for customised business work and can engage in conversations with users, helping them solve problems, generate content, and gain insights.

It emphasised that Amazon Q can take action by connecting to the user’s company information repositories, code, data, and enterprise systems.

AWS underlined that the chatbot will offer immediate and relevant information, advising employees to streamline tasks, accelerate decision-making and problem-solving, and it will also help spark creativity and innovation at work.

Meanwhile, with respect to its other AI aim, Amazon had pledged to invest up to USD 4 billion in AI startup Anthopic, the maker of another ChatGPT rival bot called Anthropic. The ecommerce giant has also deepened its relationship with Nvidia, the maker of large language model chips.
