Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing subsidiary of Amazon, has launched a $100m fund to back generative AI start-ups. The AWS Generative AI Innovation Center is aimed at discovering and supporting promising start-ups working on generative artificial intelligence, which involves the creation of new content based on learned patterns. The centre will bring together data scientists, architects, strategists and engineers, to help accelerate the launch of new generative AI products across sectors including finance, automotive and healthcare. Generative AI could add $4.4tn annually to the global economy, according to McKinsey.
