“Adipurush”, the highly-anticipated film from Om Raut, is set to release this June. This highly expensive Indian picture is based on the Hindu epic Ramayan and features Prabhas in the lead as Raghava, based on Lord Ram. Alongside Prabhas, Kriti Sanon will be portraying Janaki and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, based on Sita and Ravana respectively.

Although the casting choices have been praised, there were some speculations that suggest how the film could have looked with an alternate cast. ChatGPT, the AI chat bot, had some interesting take on which actors could be suitable to play the roles of Lord Ram, Sita, Ravana and Hanuman.

Hrithik Roshan or Akshay Kumar were recommended to play the role of Lord Ram. Being hailed as “versatile” and having “the charisma and the regal bearing”, Hrithik was pointed to be the perfect fit for the role. Akshay, likewise, was mentioned to have a “strong screen presence”.

As for Sita, ChatGPT suggested Deepika Padukone or Keerthy Suresh. It congratulated both the actors for having “graceful and elegant appearance” which would give justice to the role.

For the role of Ravana, ChatGPT recommended Saif Ali Khan’s Tanhaji co-star Ajay Devgn. His acting prowess and “commanding screen presence” have guaranteed him to be a suitable candidate to play the character of Ravana.

ChatGPT likewise had a suggestion for Lord Hanuman’s role. Devdatta Nage stars as Hanuman in Adipurush, but ChatGPT believes that Manoj Bajpayee would be a suitable choice to play the character. It also commended Manoj’s versatility as an actor which would make him apt for the role.

Vicky Kaushal, as per the AI chatbot, is the perfect replacement for Lakshman. His “intensity and the acting chops” were highlighted alongside his character assassinating skills that would make him outstanding as Lakshman.

Apart from the mentioned characters, ChatGPT also provided a suggestion on the other artist that could be casted in the film. These names included Jackie Shroff (Dashratha), Atul Kulkarni (Vibhishana), and Sonu Sood (Kumbhkarna). However, it was clarified that the last call would be made by the director and producer only.

Adipurush is going to be premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the US on June 13. Three days later, it will release on theatres in India. Reportedly, the film has a budget of Rs 550 crore, making it the second-most expensive Indian film ever made.

T-Series and Retrophile Films are the producers of the movie. T-Series is a record label and film production company based in Mumbai, known for producing Bollywood movies, popular music albums and film soundtracks. Retrophile Films is a new production company based in Mumbai, formed in 2019 by a group of veterans in the film and television industry.
