The AI-powered assistant analyses multimedia content and generates text summaries of video and audio files. It will first be integrated into Alibaba’s business-focused messaging service DingTalk. Chinese rival Baidu is developing its Ernie Bot chatbot, while domestic tech firms including Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu are taking a cautious approach, focusing their AI technology on specific areas.
