AI: When Does It Become Too Much?

Date:

Day One Ventures founder and general partner, Masha Bucher, recently shared her thoughts on the prevalence of AI investments in her portfolio. Despite the hype surrounding AI, many VCs aren’t actually investing in AI companies as much as expected.

Bucher notes that many of her existing investments are pivoting towards AI, with roughly two companies making the shift every month. One example is email app, Superhuman, which is among the companies in Bucher’s portfolio that have started to venture into AI.

This paradox in AI investment can be attributed to the fact that many VCs already own shares in AI companies, making new investments unnecessary. Nonetheless, the trend of startups pivoting toward AI remains prevalent.

In other news, TechCrunch+ columnist Anna recently shared updates on her newfound fascination with internal developer portals. Offering a secure space for developers to collaborate and share resources, many companies are now focusing on creating effective and efficient portals to improve their internal workflows.
