Top cloud storage provider Box recently announced their integration of OpenAI’s large language model (LLM) and ChatGPT into their Box Content Cloud, in a bid to make its customers more productive. Box AI promises to uncover valuable insights and answer questions, by assessing the context of customer’s uploaded data.
Aaron Levie, the CEO and Co-founder of Box emphasized the value of each company’s documents, videos, presentations, spreadsheets, and more, saying that “when combined with AI, we will be able to unlock the value of this content and make every person in a company smarter and more productive.” This integration is expected to focus on two major tasks: finding answers in the existing content, and creating new content.
Though many other companies have expressed interest in the technology, few have successful integrated it in the cloud storage space while giving Box an edge. Because of this, the company has announced plans to partner with select customers and announce pricing at the point of general availability later on.
Box is a San Francisco-based cloud storage provider that was founded in 2005 by Aaron Levie and Dylan Smith.
