AI app Petey is shaking things up for Apple Watch users by introducing ChatGPT. The mobile app now available on iPhones allows users to access their AI assistant in a more efficient manner and even swap out their virtual assistant Siri with Petey via Apple’s Shortcuts. The latest update coming today makes the app even more powerful by connecting it to Apple Music so you can create amazing playlists.
This new feature seamlessly allows you to make requests for a playlist with your chosen genre. For example, a request for a 90s grunge list will show you classic songs from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden. You can scroll through for a quick preview and, with the click of a button, you can either save the song to your library or listen to the full version in Apple Music. Additionally, a ‘learn more’ button can take you to NowPlaying, an app created by developer Hidde van der Ploeg that provides facts and details on music, records and artists.
To use this amazing feature, however, users have to have a subscription to Apple Music. Petey also have their own ‘Petey Premium’ offering that allows access to the latest AI model GPT-4. Other updates in this update include new payment options for Petey Basic subscription, different app icons and the ability to connect Apple Watch to your phone even without the basic subscription.
The App Store has seen 24.7K downloads for Petey since it launched on March 8. The iPhone version has been available since April 6.
Developed by Hidde van der Ploeg, Petey is a burgeoning app that has been receiving praise and recognition for the amazing features it offers. With the integration of Apple Music the app is likely to become even more popular, allowing users to easily access their music library or create playlists. Combining this with the additional updates, Petey is a must-have for Apple Music users.
