AI Investment: Mark Zuckerberg and Other Bigwigs at Meta Involved in Newest Endeavors

Date:

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, is at the heart of the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) research. At Meta, the focus has been on AI development in recent months, with the release of its large language model – LLaMA – and the continued research into solutions such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other AI products which have seen success. In an interview with Nikkei Asia, Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth said Mark, alongside Chief Product Officer Chris Cox, are two members of the executive team who are focusing most of their attention on the AI team.

Andrew Bosworth also mentioned that AI solutions could be utilized for advertising spending, creating images for different audiences, and saving money and time across the board for advertisers. When it came to recent backlash against the development of advanced AI technology, Bosworth said that it is crucial to invest in responsible efforts, however it would be difficult to halt progress due to the difficulty of predicting what changes should be made.

Meta is a technology giant, founded in 2005 and famed for its technologies which allow users to develop, design and optimize applications on multiple devices and platforms. Beyond that, the company is a global leader in the fields of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Psychology and Natural Language Processing, allowing them to work to provide friendly and intuitive AI-based solutions. As the company continues to invest in AI technologies, Zuckerberg and Cox lead the way as some of the most influential in the industry.
