Climate tech entrepreneur and founder of Plan A, Lubomila Jordanova, is leading the charge against corporations that engage in greenwashing by offering an AI-powered carbon accounting tool. The platform enables companies to accurately calculate, reduce and report on their carbon emissions and takes into account an array of data points to prescribe a list of actions for companies to implement to reduce their environmental footprint. Some of the companies who have adopted the platform include BMW, N26, Deutsche Bank and the European Commission. Jordanova sees accurate carbon accounting as an essential tool for companies to realise that climate risk is business risk and that if they ignore this fact, they risk getting left behind. Climate tech was not even around in 2017 when Jordanova decided to leave her position as an investment banker.
