Adobe Illustrator has introduced its first Firefly AI tool entitled Generative Recolor, aimed at enabling designers to experiment with colours using simple text prompts. The new tool allows designers to capture the mood of a piece using text, which can then be used to recolour artwork. With the potential to save countless hours, the flexibility allows designers to swap out colours, palettes and themes to create a variety of variants for uses ranging from mood boarding to marketing. Generative Recolor is in beta and forms part of a series of upgrades to Illustrator, including Retype, new Layers functionalities and upgrades to Image Trace.
