Hanna Goefft, an NYC creator and the star of TikTok, is encouraging jobseekers to use the OpenAI program ChatGPT for preparing for interviews. This 48 second clip which has garnered more than 2 million views has been praised by Goefft for the ability of the software to ask the same kind of questions a real-life interviewer might.
Goefft’s hack is comprised of inserting a job description for a product marketing manager into the software and using it to ask questions such as “How do you determine when and what products to package and promote at each stage of the customer journey?”. She suggests to use the keywords offered by ChatGPT and subtly incorporate them in the answers, to demonstrate that one actually has the required skills.
The public opinion on Goefft’s discovery has been enthusiastic and a lot of people have gotten creative with the possibilities that ChatGPT presents. There are people who think it could be used to draft Tinder messages, wedding vows, and even letters of resignation. The tech has softened the blow when it comes to quitting jobs, having helped one user draft a resignation email which went viral.
In spite of its efficiency, the artificial intelligence of ChatGPT has raised concerns about data security. This is why Apple has prohibited its employees from making use of the software in order to dodge any confidential information running the risk of being leaked.
ChatGPT is an OpenAI software based on natural language processing, presented in 2019. This program was mainly designed to generate text content off its users’ requests. OpenAI is a research laboratory whose objective is to progress artificial intelligence in a secure and responsible manner. The company’s goal is to improve human lives while looking into the longer term effects that AI could possibly have on the world.
