Samsung has implemented a company-wide ban forbidding its staff from using artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT or any other similar tools. This decision came after an exposed privacy mistake where employees in one of the company’s largest divisions uploaded internal source code to ChatGPT’s servers. A number of U.S. banks previously banned ChatGPT for the same privacy concerns.
The South Korean electronics giant has prohibited the use of generative AI on phones, computers, tablets as well as its internal network. Moreover, Samsung also reviewed a recommendation to its employees to avoid feeding any company information to ChatGPT.
