FrontM Unveils ChatGPT and Generative AI in Maritime Superapps

Date:

FrontM is bringing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to the maritime industry with the launch of its “ Intelligent Collaboration. Anywhere®” platform. This platform enables customers and partners to use AI to enhance crew connectivity, engage with them, provide streamlined information, and access care.

By utilizing its superapp and low-code developer framework, the company has been able to accomplish the various tasks that would otherwise betime-consuming in the maritime industry. This includes telehealth, video conferencing, virtual events, remote assistance and tracking & monitoring for ships. Maritime businesses and their mobile workforce or customers can now benefit from this all-in-one, customisable connection that has been created to break down silos.

Introducing a superapp for the maritime world, called onship, “Intelligent Collaboration. Anywhere®” provides a universal chatbot, called “ Emma,” to seafarers. This bot enables access to helpful information with just the click of a finger. Additionally, the app contains an app marketplace and the low-code developer framework enables many more conversational AI use cases. Crew members can now tap into this platform for seafarers’ safety, routines aboard, and even for ideas for a weekend barbecue.

The “Intelligent Collaboration. Anywhere®” platform is also partner-centric. This means that FrontM is working with many entities to accelerate the digitalization of the maritime industry, while also working to establish the future of work for seafarers. This is done through collaboration with various onboard and shore-side entities.

Speaking on the importance of this integration, Vishal Patangay, Master Mariner and Head of Customer Success at FrontM, said, “The ‘Intelligent Collaboration. Anywhere®’ platform and its onship product enable us to easily break down silos and increase efficiency for our customers. By integrating chatGPT, we are pushing the limits of AI and unlocking the power of generative AI into the maritime world.”

FrontM is a software platform that provides secure and structured digital collaboration networks and applications tailored to the Sea Services. Their mission is to revolutionise maritime Digital Solutions and make processes smarter, safer and more reliable. They are committed to provide their customers, partners and the wider community with secure access to the future of work.
