AI-generated answers are easily traceable in exams or tasks that require writing and is a form of plagiarism or cheating. Through sites such as ChatGPT, AI-generated written content can be created but it takes intelligence and effort to modify the generated material to make it readable. This means that simply copy and pasting the AI-generated material will likely be spotted by a professor and negatively affect the student’s grades. That said, AI generated content can be a useful tool for idea production but as a student, paraphrasing and adding one’s own thoughts is key to ensuring an accurate representation of the student’s knowledge and understanding.
