AI ChatGPT Now Has a Robot Body – Taking Over the World with its Conversations

Date:

Not long ago, many of us felt somewhat secure due to the fact that AIs did not possess physical bodies. In 2020, a robotic entity called Spot from Boston Dynamics changed this by becoming available for commercial use. Spot was created to perform surveillance and inspection services. The $75,000 machine can either be remotely controlled or operated autonomously and programmatically. It does not have an actual independent mind and therefore cannot cause harm on its own.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which was launched two years later in 2022, is the exact opposite of Spot. This chatbot AI is designed to give written responses to questions asked. It comes in the news often due to its capability to engage in conversations with humans.

The idea of combining the abilities of Spot and ChatGPT came from Levatas, a company specialized in machine learning and computer vision software for automating the visual inspection process. Through their efforts, a brain for the Spot robot was developed by uploading the ChatGPT AI. Then, a Google speech-to-text component was implemented so that Spot possesses the capability to vocally answer inquiries about past or current missions.

To demonstrate Spot’s communication capabilities, Levatas released a video of the Robot this week, with plans to release even more features in the near future.

Levatas is a company that specializes in providing machine learning and computer vision software solutions for the purpose of inspection automation. Their wide range of products are designed around the concept of making the inspection process faster and more accurate while eliminating costs associated with manual operations.

His aim is to give customers access to the best technology solutions in the market with the most efficient support. He also continues to develop surprisingly innovative solutions with the help of his team of highly proficient developers.
