Sberbank of Russia Introduces its Own ChatGPT Platform

Date:

On Monday, Russia’s banking giant Sberbank announced the launch of its cutting-edge AI-powered chatbot, Gigachat. This new technology is a rival to the popular Microsoft-backed ChatGPT, which was released in November. The Gigachat is said to have some outstanding features that set it apart from its competitors – it has excellent proficiency in Russian and can generate images, a feature that ChatGPT does not currently have.

To begin with, the chatbot will only available to a select group of testers who can sign up for it via a closed-access Telegram channel. Sberbank’s Gigachat is powered by Artificial Intelligence and improves its conversational abilities when exposed to more and more conversations, culminating in it being able to hold meaningful and smart discussions.

Sberbank is one of the largest and oldest banks in Russia, known for being a leader in the realm of banking technology. It is the largest financial institution in the country and provides a wide range of services including retail and corporate banking, investments and asset management, insurance and wealth management. Founded in 1990, Sberbank has become a prominent player in the Russian banking sector and continues to grow and innovate.

Moreover, Sberbank’s Chief Information Officer, Sergey Popov, is the man who led the development of the Gigachat chatbot. He is a veteran of Russia’s technology industry and is renowned for his strong leadership skills and innovative ideas. Currently, Sberbank and Sergey are looking to continuously evolve and improve Gigachat, so that it can remain competitive in the AI chatbot industry.

Thanks to all the features, Sberbank’s Gigachat is set to be the next big thing in the AI space. For now though, a select group of testers chosen by Sberbank will get access to the chatbot and help make it even better in the future. With this, Sberbank has set itself on the path of being a major player in the artificial intelligence space.
