NR Narayana Murthy Not Concerned About ChatGPT, Believes Nothing Can Outlast Human Intelligence

In November 2022, the world was introduced to OpenAI’s ground-breaking invention, ChatGPT. The AI chatbot quickly gained popularity as it was used to compose poetry, write essays and come up with content ideas. OpenAI also released GPT-4, a superior version of ChatGPT with enhanced powers and greater capabilities. But some were worried that AI chatbots like ChatGPT will cost people their jobs.

Infosys Founder, NR Narayana Murthy, is not concerned about ChatGPT and has gone on record to say “Nothing can beat the human mind.” In an interview with CNBC, he further elaborated on his opinion and said that it is the human mind that distinguishes one from another and that’s what the teacher will be impressed by. He also emphasized that the lazy guys will get C’s and that the only way to get good grades is by using the ChatGPT and adding your own “smartness” and “differentiation” to the task.

At the 67th Foundation Day of All India Management Association (AIMA), Murthy further addressed the concern of AI replacing human beings. He said that human beings will not allow artificial intelligence to replace them, as the human mind is an incredibly powerful and flexible instrument, that can master any technology.
