Microsoft and Viva Collaborate to Deliver Enhanced Solutions

Date:

Last month Microsoft unveiled Microsoft 365 Copilot, a prompt-powered artificially intelligent (AI) productivity tool developed by OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology. Microsoft has now announced that these capabilities will be brought to their customer experience tool, Viva.

This AI integration within Microsoft Viva will help to promote both productivity and employee engagement. AI capabilities will be made available to all aspects of Microsoft Viva such as Goals, Engage, Topics and Answers.
Microsoft also launched Viva Glint, an employee feedback platform, which will take advantage of Copilot’s capabilities. Companies will able to analyze comment efficiently with the help of natural language processing.

The incorporation of Copilot in various Microsoft 365 apps enables employees to save time by completing trivial tasks such as drafting content from prompts or prior documents. The addition of AI to Viva Engage will allow employers to provide messages written by AI with detail regarding the tone, length, and sentiment.

Through its Work Trend Index, Microsoft has revealed that employee engagement plays a key role in a company’s financial performance. This is the main drive behind the incorporation of Copilot in Viva. Corporate Vice President of Microsoft 365, Kirk Koenigsbauer highlighted that, “in today’s fast-paced business world, employee productivity is seen as key to driving performance — and that’s certainly true. But it’s important to remember that productivity alone cannot lead to sustained success. With Copilot, Microsoft Viva takes advantage of next-generation AI to accelerate this new performance equation, where engagement and productivity lead to better business outcomes and success.”
