Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has highlighted the company’s strategic focus on GenAI adoption for enterprises at their annual general meeting. With an emphasis on cloud services and Generative AI (GenAI) through Infosys Cobalt and Topaz, Parekh outlined Infosys’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
Parekh explained that Infosys is geared towards leveraging GenAI capabilities through their Topaz platform, which includes the development of playbooks and blueprints for enterprise adoption. The company has already integrated AI into clients’ systems and created 23 AI and GenAI playbooks for client utilization.
In addition to their AI initiatives, Infosys has been actively pursuing certification in ISO 42,001:2023 for AI management systems, further solidifying their position as an industry leader in AI deployment. Chairman Nandan Nilekani expressed confidence in GenAI’s potential to address business and societal challenges while enhancing customer relations and productivity.
Moreover, Infosys revealed plans for acquisitions in the automotive and semiconductor sectors, along with evaluating opportunities in Software as a Service (SaaS) and enterprise cloud solutions.
On the reskilling front, Infosys is committed to upskilling its workforce in AI and GenAI through continuous education programs. Over 2.5 lakh employees have already participated in reskilling initiatives, showcasing Infosys’s dedication to keeping its workforce abreast of the latest technological trends.
With a robust focus on GenAI adoption, certification in AI management systems, strategic acquisitions, and employee upskilling initiatives, Infosys is poised to drive digital transformation and innovation in the IT sector.
