Empowering Students with Cutting Edge Technology for their Technological Future in Abu Dhabi

Date:

42 Abu Dhabi Coding School is leading the way in developing and upskilling the Emirate’s young population by equipping them with the latest cutting-edge technology. The school’s cutting-edge peer-to-peer, gamified learning methodology focuses on fostering creativity and innovation among students.

Recently, students at 42 Abu Dhabi developed an AI machine-learning model to predict the prevalence of chronic kidney diseases. This project earned them the first place in the UAE-based HealAthon – a healthcare analytics boot camp hosted by edtech startup Airtics Education and Coders HQ. It provides a host of advantages to multiple stakeholders that include high-risk patients, healthcare professionals, and the healthcare system at large. Treatment can be provided on a timely basis, reducing the costs of late diagnosis and chronic kidney disease.

Another remarkable project by the students of 42 Abu Dhabi was a real-time sign language translation mobile app for allowing smoother communication between sign language users and people with no knowledge of sign language. The app is programmed to handle American Sign Language (ASL) and understood conversations can be translated into English instantly.

The scholars of 42 Abu Dhabi Coding School have also developed the Talent Hub platform which allows recruiters to assess the interviews of job seekers. The Talent Hub allows recruiters to see multiple candidates in a single go, setting up a platform for the young minds to utilize their creativity for the benefit of the public.

Marcos Muller Habig, Acting Chief Executive Officer at 42 Abu Dhabi, remarks on the school’s effort to spread innovation: “We remain committed to creating a culture of innovation and encouraging our students to become catalysts of change to lead the Emirate’s digital transformation. By supporting them through the journey from ideation to project implementation, we ensure that our school plays a decisive role in driving innovation, which is at the heart of the Emirate’s development.”
