Microsoft Enhances Employee Experience with ChatGPT Integration into Viva Platform

Date:

Microsoft recently announced that they are integating ChatGPT, a AI chatbot developed by Open AI, into their employee experience platform, Viva. ChatGPT first gained popularity in late 2022 and Microsoft immediately saw the benefits of the new technology. In March, they launched the virtual security system “Microsoft Security Copilot,” which uses ChatGPT-style capabilities. This was followed by the integration of ChatGPT-powered Copilot with Microsoft 365.

Kirk Koenigsbauer, COO and CVP of the Experiences and Devices Group at Microsoft, said that this development helps “bring Copilot to Viva across a set of Viva applications” and that it is built on the underlying Copilot system. The chatbot helps generate professional goals, summarize employee survey comments, and help managers begin to draft employee communications, all in an effort to ensure that the user remains in control of the program.

Microsoft’s Viva platform was first released in 2021 with plans to develop it as a $300 billion platform. The company strives to provide high-quality content that can potentially rank well in Google search results and provides users with valuable information.
