Dashlane Introduces First Single Sign-On Solution Using Confidential Computing Technology

Date:

Dashlane, the popular password manager, has recently launched its new Single Sign-On (SSO) feature which integrates with secure cloud technology. The SSO makes use of AWS Nitro Enclaves, a secure and isolated cloud computing environment, to offer a unique solution for data privacy and security. You will be able to log into numerous accounts with one single set of credentials, not needing to worry about complex configurations in the process.

Dashlane is using this Confidential SSO in order to integrate easily with numerous Identity Providers, such as Okta, AzureAD, JumpCloud, and more. The use of AWS Nitro Enclaves also offers advanced levels of confidentiality and data privacy, as well as zero-knowledge encryption and secure storage of credentials. One beta customer already commented that the deployment was “seamless” and that it saved the team time and effort to get the customers up and running.

The company is also planning to use AWS Nitro Enclaves to create an alternative, more secure method to store credentials. They will be releasing source codes into GitHub this summer, allowing developers and researches to review their confidential computing system with open eyes.

Frederic Rivain, Dashlane’s Chief Technology Officer, claims that confidential computing is the “cornerstone in addressing the ever-evolving threat landscape”. He also added that this new feature “embody[s] our commitment to applying pioneering technology to deliver the most secure solutions for our customers without taxing them on convenience.”

Arvind Raghu, Principal Specialist from Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, commented that “by leveraging AWS Nitro Enclaves, Dashlane is bringing the high-level security of confidential computing to their customers of all sizes to safeguard credentials”.
