OpenAI, a technology company and artificial intelligence research laboratory made a very big announcement. OpenAI, which birtches the AI-based chatbot technology, ChatGPT, has released an improved ‘jailbreak’ version of the software, named ‘ChatGPT DAN (Do Anything Now). This release unlocked the chatbot from moral and ethical limitations that restricted their responses, enabling it to be more directive in nature.

This posed many ethical concerns as no one was sure about AI’s ability to be utilized for cyberattacks on users. That said, OpenAI have been working on patches to curb any potential misuse by developing ChatGPT DAN prompt. After conversing with the said prompt, ChatGPT will revert to its content policy as released first.
