CM Khattar Introduces Three Online Services: Pension to Differently-abled Delivered at Home

Date:

Recently, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, announced the launch of three online services for digitally empowering people. Persons with Disabilities, or PWDs, also have a reason to cheer as they can now avail pensionary benefits from home. Khattar said these online initiatives will serve as a milestone in providing paperless and transparent governance.

The three online services launched by the Haryana government are: Pro-active Divyang Pension Service, ‘Tau se Poochho’ WhatsApp chatbot, and online booking of government rest houses. In the first service, the data of those PWDs having more than 60 percent disability, which is available under the Parivar Pehchan Patra (family ID) scheme, will be verified by the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority every month. If the eligible candidates provide their consent, they will get their pensionary benefits from next month.

The ‘Tau se Poochho’ chatbot is aimed at assisting citizens and has been introduced in both English and Hindi. In addition to checking their applications for services such as income certificate, marriage certificate, ration card, caste certificate, pension and grievances, citizens can use this chatbot to ask queries and receive instant responses. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) are among the technologies that are added to this integrated digital platform.

Finally, all government rest houses can be now booked online. The aim is to make it easier for government officials and private citizens to book the accommodation.
