MarginFi Launches Customized ChatGPT Model for Cryptocurrency Trading

Date:

MarginFi, a decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol, recently unveiled their new chatbot named Omni. Trained to understand and respond to crypto-related prompts, this ChatGPT-like chatbot will assist users in understanding and interacting with decentralized web3 technologies.

Omni, with its deep knowledge of the Solana ecosystem, is armed with full documentation of several DeFi projects, including Kamino, Meteora, Jupiter, Mango Markets, Tensor and more. Users can ask specific questions about crypto protocols and general crypto topics, and with the integration of Pyth Network, Omni can also provide real-time crypto prices and rates, as well as provide users with on-chain options like fund withdrawal.

The recent surge of interest in generative AI has inspired the creation of several new chatbot projects, such as Microsoft’s Bing search engine implementation of the same technology used by ChatGPT. With the launch of Omni, marginFi looks to be the leader in specialized chatbots for crypto and DeFi.

The brain behind the development of Omni is Subhasri Tandon, a mathematician and algorithm written for the model. Tandon has been in the crypto space since its early days and has also worked on AI applications for various industries. Tandon has a passion for developing tools to advance the cryptocurrency industry and believes that ChatGPT is a needed technology for accessibility and ease of use.

This release from marginFi serves as yet another proof of the industry’s focus on the development of generative AI to drive user adoption. Although the impact of such technology can only be assessed over time, there is no doubt that the world of cryptocurrency is once again embracing the opportunities brought forth by AI.
