Robo Yatra: Exploring the Relationship between Humans and Robots

Date:

The School of Computer Science and Engineering at JAIN (Deemed to be University) in Karnataka, India, organized an interactive event called RoboYatra with the help of HoloWorld, a skill metaverse that puts humans and robots together. The one-day seminar, patronized by The Turing Club (TTC), was designed to provide students with a glimpse at the cutting-edge advancements in the fields of robotics and augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR).

The event started out with an exciting demonstration of HoloWorld’s signature product, the HoloSuit. This motion-capture wearable allows users to experience AR/VR in an instinctive way. Sanjana, the student coordinator of TTC, conducted the seminar, which was followed by the honors of HoloWorld’s team members by prestigious guests like Dr. Geetha Ganesan, the Director, and Dr. Merin Thomas, the Program Head of CSE-AIML from Miles Education, Srinidhi and Anamika.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the basics of robotics through a live demonstration of a humanoid robot. The Chief Research Officer, Dr. Kasar, shared his insights on what a metaverse is and gave a presentation and demonstration on the features of HollyWorld’s robotics, its abilities, and its components.

HoloWorld stresses the integration of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and 5G in their robots, making them a unique concept compared to the market. It was an interactive experience for the students and faculty of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, giving both an understanding of the endless possibilities afforded by robotics and AR/VR. Through campaigns like RoboYatra, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, JAIN (Deemed to be University) aims to bridge the gap between learned theory and applied experience for students.
