Elon Musk Developing AI Chatbot GPT

Date:

Elon Musk wants to enter the AI race between Microsoft-backed OpenAI and Alphabet’s Google and DeepMind by creating his own third-party. This news was confirmed in an interview with American television host, Tucker Carlson on Monday. Musk believes OpenAI and Google are the two heavyweights of the moment, and that his contribution would be a welcomed third option. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of trying to understand and uncover the ‘nature of the universe’ – emphasizing that his AI project would strive for truth above politically correct dialect.

X.AI is the company at the forefront of Musk’s AI aspirations. He also wants to create a ‘everything app’ named X which could prove instrumental to the success of the AI project. Interestingly, he also merged all his Twitter accounts into XCorp. Recently Musk downvalued Twitter, the social media platform he took private in a $44 billion deal last year – offering employees new equity grants valuing the company at $20bn instead.

Elon Musk is an iconic tech entrepreneur, investor, inventor and engineer who has had a crucial role in the success of many tech giants including Tesla, SpaceX, PayPal and SolarCity. He has received many awards for his work and recently signed an open letter calling for a temporarily moratorium on AI model development and training. Musk has always been at the forefront of the tech world and his latest ambitions are sure to be met with high-levels of interest and acclaim.
