Samsung and LG Unveil AI-Based Innovations at CES to Reinvent Consumer Life
South Korean tech giants Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are showcasing their latest artificial intelligence (AI)-based innovations at CES, the world’s largest tech show, with the aim of solidifying their positions as global tech leaders. Both companies are looking to revolutionize consumer life by introducing cutting-edge technologies and products that harness the power of AI.
Samsung has designated the theme of their exhibition as AI for All, where they will present their vision of how AI can bring about innovation. With the largest exhibition hall among all participating companies, Samsung is focusing on the connectivity of their SmartThings IoT platform. They will introduce numerous new products and technologies based on AI, highlighting the impact it can have on various aspects of daily life.
LG, on the other hand, is presenting their future vision of smart life solutions under the theme Reinvent your future. Their showcase will feature smart home technologies that utilize advanced AI algorithms to adjust home environments based on users’ habits, health, and emotions. LG will also unveil their AI Agent, a companion robot that assists with household tasks.
In the TV business, Samsung has announced the arrival of the AI screen era by unveiling their new AI processor for TV screens and the 2024 Neo QLED 8K TV. The AI processor, known as NQ8 AI Gen3, offers the best performance among Samsung TV processors, enabling the Neo QLED 8K TV to convert low-quality content to 8K quality and reduce distortion in fast-moving sports scenes. Samsung has also revealed the industry’s first transparent MicroLED and a wireless projector.
Meanwhile, LG has taken a different approach in the TV sector by introducing the world’s first wireless and transparent OLED TV, called the LG Signature OLED T. When the TV is turned off, it functions like transparent glass, allowing users to see through the screen. LG used wireless AV transmission and reception technology to eliminate all wires except for power, providing a sleek and clutter-free viewing experience. The LG Signature OLED T supports both a black screen mode for traditional TV content and a transparent mode for displaying 3D media art.
These innovative products from Samsung and LG represent significant advancements in AI-based technologies and demonstrate the companies’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in consumer electronics. As CES continues, attendees can expect to witness even more groundbreaking developments that will transform the way we live and interact with technology.
