Law Harmonization with EU, PM Discloses Cooperation with Head of ChatGPT
Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed a groundbreaking cooperation with Mira Murati, the head of ChatGPT Company, to achieve the harmonization of Albania’s legislation with that of the European Union (EU). In his address to the Socialist Party Congress, the Prime Minister explained that this collaboration with ChatGPT will streamline the process by eliminating the need for numerous translators and lawyers, ultimately saving millions of euros.
During his speech, Prime Minister Rama shed light on the unexpected partnership with Mira Murati, emphasizing her pivotal role in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to accomplish the monumental task of aligning 280 thousand pages of Albanian legislation with EU legal measures. Previously an unknown figure from Vlora, Murati entered the spotlight with her AI creation, capturing the attention of numerous individuals.
Describing the initial contact that led to their collaboration, Prime Minister Rama narrated how he reached out to Murati with the aspiration of expediting Albania’s journey towards EU membership. With her friendly demeanor breaking the ice, he floated the idea of using ChatGPT as an alternative approach to the time-consuming and expensive recruitment of translators and lawyers. To his delight, Murati responded with a resounding Yes, it seems possible to me.
The subsequent collaboration between Prime Minister Rama, Mira Murati, and experts from the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI) resulted in the development of a joint team. Their objective was to leverage the Albanian model of artificial intelligence to interpose the EU’s intricate legal measures into Albanian legislation. Prime Minister Rama proudly declared that the successful test of this AI-driven model will be presented to EU leaders in Brussels on December 13.
With the imminent meeting on the Greek dilemma behind him, Prime Minister Rama intends to present the fruits of this groundbreaking partnership as Albania’s New Year’s gift to EU leaders.
